BILATERAL COMMITTEE
Chairman: Roberto Fernandez
Purpose: To work together in the joint promotion and support of our Sister Cities, particularly in the areas of tourism and transportation and to open lines of communication between our Chambers for the mutual benefit of our two communities.

BUILDING AND TRADES -Chairman:Chance Ellis

BY-LAWS, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES COMMITTEE
Chairman: John Stein
Purpose: To prepare recommended by-laws changes, if any appear to be necessary, and submit them to the Executive Committee for evaluation.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
Chairman: Shannalea Taylor
Purpose: To prepare publications in support of Chamber activities.

CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU
Chairman:Tommy Qualia

DEL RIO BORDER PATROL WELCOME COMMITTEE
Chairman: Frank Denny                       

EDUCATION COMMITTEE
Chairman: Fred Delgado
Purpose: To further advance education in Del Rio.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
Chairman: Frank H. Larson/Twana Billeaudeau
Purpose: To create job opportunities by promoting Del Rio and Ciudad Acuña through business recruitment and retention in the public and private sector.

GOLF TOURNAMENT-Chairman:John Plumb

LEADERSHIP DEL RIO-Chairman:Tony Hernandez

LAKE COMMITTEE
Chairman: Alan Cox
Purpose: to enhance promotion, development, economic growth and resource preservation of Lake Amistad.

LEGISLATIVE LIAISON COMMITTEE
Chairman: Shannalea Taylor
Purpose: To stay abreast of matters which impact on the goals and purposes of the Chamber from all governmental agencies and offices (federal, state, and local) and make those offices aware of the Chamber's positions on issues that effect the betterment of Del Rio.

LONG RANGE PLANNING COMMITTEE
Chairman: Amy Conner
Purpose: To enhance the ability of the Chamber of Commerce to serve its members effectively in the future.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE/TEAM CONNECTION
Chairman: Norma Lombrana
Purpose: To obtain and retain members.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE
Chairman: Blanca G. Larson
Purpose: To select a committee to nominate Officers and Board of Directors for the calendar year 2009.

RED CARPET AMBASSADORS
Chairman: Michael Bonnee
Purpose: To support the Chamber of Commerce in its endeavors to expand growth of existing businesses and to enhance business opportunities in Del Rio; to provide members of the Chamber of Commerce a distinctive and individualized source for advertising and publicizing their businesses.

SPECIAL PROJECTS COMMITTEE
Co-Chairmen:Lane Horger/Bob Lohr
Purpose: To plan and arrange for events to raise funds for the Del Rio Chamber of Commerce and provide food service for the Chamber special events and projects as needed.

TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE
Chairman: Jerry Simpton
Purpose: To promote and support those programs, projects and plans that will keep Del Rio and Val Verde County in the mainstream of the transportation systems of Texas.

WATER RESOURCE INFORMATION COMMITTEE
Chairman: Jerry Simpton

WINTER VISITOR COMMITTEE
Chairman: Barbara Plyler
Purpose: To encourage economic growth and development through special activities for the Winter Visitors; to continue to promote "Del Rio Friendly" and "Buy Del Rio" among local merchants, government entities, and Winter Visitors, thus generating sales and tax revenue.
